Julie Cheyney

Dairy Courses

The foundations for Julie’s love of cheesemaking were laid when she learnt how to milk cows whilst still at school. Her love for farming continued as she went to study agriculture at Sparsholt College in Hampshire, before working on her husband’s mixed farm.

It was then in 2005 that Julie’s rise through the dairy world began, when she founded Hampshire Cheeses with a business partner, and developed the critically acclaimed Tunworth Cheese, which became Supreme Champion at the British Cheese Awards in 2006. Dubbed as the English camembert, Tunworth is now a ‘must have’ on any cheeseboard.

Julie has since left Hampshire Cheeses to pursue her desire to learn more and pass on her extensive knowledge of good food and cheesemaking.
