Val Bines


A cheese technologist with almost fifty years worth of experience in theindustry, Val has shared her knowledge and expertise with cheesemakers around the world.

Val has been integral in researching dairy techniques as well as developing and rejuvenating artisan cheeses in the UK and beyond.

As a well respected name in the industry Val is a regular judge at food competitions. Her services to the dairy industry have been recognised with a whole host of awards, including the British Cheese Board’s prestigious Cheese Industry Award.
