Preserve the taste of English summertime and discover how to make a selection of seasonal treats
With the expert guidance of Lindy Wildsmith, learn about the science of preserving and the magical transforming abilities of salt, sugar and vinegar.

Because this course uses seasonal produce the contents of the course will vary each time. Please see below for products against the course date.

24 June 2016 - on this course you will make;

  • Elderflower Cordial
  • Rose Petal Jam
  • Gooseberry Jelly
  • Japanese Asparagus Pickles

22 July 2016 - On this course you  will make;

  • Strawberry Jam
  • Raspberry Liquer
  • Redcurrant Jelly
  • Sicilian Caponata

This hands-on course is ideal for those growing their own fruit and vegetables or for anyone wanting to master the art of preserving. Everything produced is available to take home.

All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the School.

This course includes light refreshments and an informal lunch.
