This one-day course will provide you with the skills to preserve our favourite seasonal flavours.

With the expert guidance of Michelle Roper-Shaw learn about the science of preserving and the magical transforming abilities of salt, sugar, vinegar and alcohol, as you lock away seasonal flavours.

On this practical course you will produce:

  • Rhubarb and strawberry jam
  • Piccalilli
  • Preserved lemons.

This course is ideal for those growing their own fruit and vegetables or for anyone wanting to add a new dimension to mealtimes.

All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the school.

This course includes light refreshments and an informal lunch.
