Summer Preserves - July

Capture the season’s favourite flavours and keep your taste buds tingling for the months ahead.

Preserve the taste of English summertime and discover how to make a selection of seasonal treats. 

With the expert guidance of Lindy Wildsmith, learn about the science of preserving and the magical transforming abilities of salt, sugar and vinegar. 

On this one-day practical course you will produce; 

  • Strawberry and balsamic jam

  • Caponata: Mediterranean vegetable preserve

  • Raspberry vinegar

  • Red currant and apple jelly

  • Gooseberry chutney

This hands-on course is ideal for those growing their own fruit and vegetables or for anyone wanting to master the art of preserving. Everything produced is available to take home.

All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the School.

This course includes light refreshments and an informal lunch.
