Late Spring Preserves

Capture the taste of late spring and discover how easy it can be to produce luxurious preserves.

This one-day course will provide you with the skills to preserve our favourite seasonal flavours.

With the expert guidance of Michelle Roper-Shaw learn about the science of preserving and the magical transforming abilities of salt, sugar, vinegar and alcohol, as you lock away seasonal flavours.

On this one-day practical course you will produce strawberry conserve, gooseberry and elderflower jam, sweet cucumber pickle and a seasonal fruit vinegar.

This hands-on course is ideal for those growing their own fruit and vegetables or for anyone wanting to add a new dimension to mealtimes.

All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the School.

This course includes light refreshments and an informal lunch.
