With December here and the shorter days, we’re rapidly approaching the end of the first term of our new-look, six-month, Advanced Diploma qualification.
And, what a great few months we’ve had! Enrolment day – which was back at the beginning of October – seems like a lifetime ago. In the last few months our students have covered so much ground (…or baking as the case may be) making us super proud.
One of the highlights of the last few weeks has been the Welbeck Winter Weekend, which had our Advanced Diploma students serving wood-fired sourdough pizzas – the king of fast-food, properly produced with no nasties - from our mobile oven.
The Welbeck Winter Weekend attracts thousands of visitors and is a staple in our events calendar. We’ve made an appearance at the market ever since we’ve had our wood-fired oven. This year our students set a new record for the number of pizzas sold, with a grand total of 440 pizzas lovingly crafted (and devoured!).
A massive congratulations to all our Advanced Diploma students, in all they’ve achieved in their first term. We cannot wait for 2019, term two and all it will bring. In the meantime, we wish all our students a very Merry Christmas (and a well-earned break!).
