Find out more about our BSc (Hons) Artisan Food Production degree course, look around the School and meet some of our tutors.

We are excited to be working with Nottingham Trent University to deliver a three-year BSc (Hons) course in Artisan Food Production. With unrivalled tuition from experienced artisan producers, you will gain the knowledge and confidence to forge a successful career in the ever-changing food industry.

This course covers everything from developing practical skills and producing a range of food products to setting up an artisan food business. You'll study the functionality of ingredients, and practical skills such as bread-making, patisserie and cheese-making. You will explore raw materials and how to source them sustainably and ethically, develop new products for a local farm shop and explore the cultural importance of traditional artisan foods, both within the UK and further afield

Taught in collaboration with food technology specialists at Nottingham Trent University, the course is split between the School of Artisan Food and the University’s Brackenhurst Campus – a free shuttle bus transports students between the two.

Join our Director of Studies, Sheila Russell, on an Open Day to look around our state-of-the-art facilities, meet some of the tutors, and get a feel for the welcoming, knowledgeable atmosphere.

Our open days are popular, so book your place to avoid disappointment.

The School of Artisan Food is nestled in the heart of Sherwood Forest on The Welbeck Estate, Nottinghamshire, just a few minutes from the A1 and M1.
