Christmas Preserves

Christmas is the perfect time to pull out the preserving pans and create delicious homemade marmalades, chutneys and relishes as gifts for friends and family.

Join our one-day course, led by cook and food writer Lindy Wildsmith, to discover the secrets behind making mouth-watering festive preserves. Lindy specialises in modern British and regional Italian food and is the author of acclaimed artisan food book Cured. Under her expert guidance, you’ll be encouraged to get hands-on in the kitchen learning new skills and trying out creative recipes that capture and enhance the flavours of winter.

During the day, you will learn how to make a range of preserves, such as:

  • Spiced pear mincemeat
  • Spiced cranberry and orange relish
  • Christmas chutney
  • 3 fruit marmalade
  • Venetian egg nog

At the end of the course, everything you’ve made will be available for you to take home and enjoy.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day, as well as a buffet style lunch prepared by our team of chefs. All ingredients, equipment and recipes will be provided.
