Enjoy exciting food experiences and want to learn how to capture them through compelling, thought-provoking food writing? This one-day course, led by internationally renowned food journalist and food educator Simran Sethi, will help you put some of those delicious experiences into words.
Simran is the creator of The Slow Melt, an award-winning podcast on the continuum of chocolate, and also the author of Bread, Wine, Chocolate: The Slow Loss of Foods We Love, named one of the best food books of 2016 by Smithsonian.
The course is experiential and immersive. Following a discussion about the craft of food writing, you will practise your writing skills and techniques, using a range of food tastings to help hone your sensitivity and spark creativity.
In the afternoon, you will visit award-winning chocolatier, Ottar Chocolate, for an additional tasting session which will inform a group discussion and your final writing exercises of the day.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day, as well as a buffet style lunch prepared by our team of chefs.
