Join acclaimed food writer and chef Valentina Harris and discover how to make a range of authentic, regional Italian dishes in your very own kitchen.

During this practical, one-day course Valentina will share her love of classic Italian food, equipping you with the confidence and the skills to create a selection of silky risottos and delicious gnocchi guaranteed to impress your friends and family.

Using the best seasonal produce, you’ll learn about the flavours and artisan techniques needed to recreate an authentic taste of Italy in your own kitchen.

No previous experience is necessary; just enthusiasm and a willingness to work alongside other food lovers to make a real Italian feast. A selection of seasonal dishes will be made which may include:

  • Risotto with goats' cheese and spinach
  • Mushroom and tomato risotto
  • Risotto with pancetta and leeks
  • Arancini
  • Gnocchi alla Romana
  • Beetroot gnocchi with walnut and sage butter

A selection of the dishes you make will be served as a late lunch, while other dishes will be available for you to take home and enjoy. Refreshments will be available throughout the day. All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the School.
