Introduction to Ice Cream Making

Prepare to make the most divine ice creams with extraordinaire Kitty Travers of La Grotta Ices. Kitty's amazing palate, mastery of technique and feel for pure and natural ingredients have made her the go-to modern ice cream teacher in the UK.

During the day, as you learn different methods, techniques and recipes to make seven types of vanilla ice creams, you will discover how each can influence the texture and flavour of ice-cream.

Kitty will share her expertise as you learn simple ways to make heavenly custard based ice-creams, granitas and sorbets fit for any feast. Recipes will include made-by-hand techniques as well as methods using an ice cream machine.

You'll make an array of mouth-watering frozen delicacies using a range of seasonal flavours.

The course will conclude with a grand tasting of all that’s been produced.

Light refreshments and lunch are included and all ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the School.
