Spend the day with ice-cream maker extraordinaire Kitty Travers of La Grotta Ices and make your own frozen delicacies. Kitty's amazing palate, mastery of technique and feel for pure and natural ingredients have made her the go-to modern ice cream teacher in the UK.
During a day of ice-cream making you will discover how various ingredients and different freezing methods can influence the texture and flavour of ice-cream.
Kitty will share her expertise as you learn simple ways to make custard based ice-creams, granitas, parfaits and fruit sorbets.
Recipes will include made-by-hand techniques as well as methods using an ice cream machine.
The course will end with a grand tasting of all that’s been produced.
This course includes light refreshments and lunch.
All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the School.
