Discover how to make your own fresh pasta and authentic Italian sauces under the expert guidance of acclaimed food writer and chef Valentina Harris.

During this practical one-day course Valentina will share her love of classic Italian food, equipping you with the confidence and the skills to create a selection of delicious pasta dishes. Using the best seasonal produce, you’ll learn about the fresh flavours and artisan techniques needed to recreate an authentic taste of Italy in your own kitchen.

No previous experience is necessary; just enthusiasm and a willingness to work alongside other food lovers to make real fresh pasta. A selection of seasonal dishes will be made which may include:

Saturday 16 February

  • Making fresh pasta
  • Mushroom ravioli
  • Spinach, ricotta and lemon ravioli
  • Italian sausage and tomato sauce
  • Classic Bolognese ragù
  • Pumpkin sauce

A selection of the pasta you make will be served as a late lunch, while other dishes will be available for you to take home and enjoy. The School of Artisan Food makes a conscious effort to reduce waste and packaging. Students are welcome to bring their own containers to transport their food home. Learn more here ...

Refreshments will be available throughout the day. All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the School.
