BSc (Hons) Artisan Food Production

Duration: 3 years full-time Designed for students who want to understand artisan food production within the wider food industry, this degree explores the relationship between traditional food-making methods, innovation, sustainability and ethics. You’ll develop practical artisan food production skills while gaining a deeper understanding of: Sustainable and ethical food systems
  • The role of artisan food in the modern food industry
  • Food production processes and improvement

This course is ideal for those looking to build careers across the food production sector, sustainability, product development or food innovation.

FdSc Artisan Food Production

Duration: 2 years full-time A highly vocational foundation degree with a strong focus on practical and applied learning. You’ll develop specialist artisan food-making skills and gain the knowledge needed to establish and grow an artisan food business. Practical training includes areas such as:
  • Breadmaking
  • Patisserie and viennoiserie
  • Cheesemaking
  • Butchery and charcuterie
  • Artisan food business development
This course is perfect for aspiring producers, entrepreneurs and those wanting to turn their passion for artisan food into a profession.
