Mickael Jahan

My career as a baker began when I was just 14 years old in my home village in France.

When given the choice by my parents whether to work on the family oyster farm or in the warm sweet smelling environment of the village bakery, the decision was easy. I was in love at the time with the pain au chocolat, so what better place to be!

My ambition and passion has taken me to various positions, and places around the world. I first came to the UK in 1998, before travelling back to France to complete my Master Bakers qualification.

In 2002 I came back to London and started to use my new found knowledge in the industry. Working first as Bakery Manager at the prestigious Maison Blanc, and then moving to Paul’s Bakery.

Mickael has since worked in a variety of baking and product development roles, and has recently captained The UK team at the baking World Cup.
